What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Assistance Team Coordinator position at Morgan County Schools?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Chair all Student Assistance Team meetings
- Schedule all meetings within 10 days after receiving referral
- Must notify parents of scheduled meeting
- Must notify all personnel involved with student referred (i.e. administrator, teachers, attendance director, transportation director, nurse, etc.)
- Convene Student Assistance Team meeting
- Discuss interventions and record the interventions to be used on Student Assistance Team meeting minutes form
- Set date for review of interventions and progress of student (meeting must be held within one grading period from initial meeting)
- Record review date on Student Assistance Team meeting minutes form
- Record minutes in Student Assistance Team Meeting Log
- Distribute copies of minutes to all invited parties
- Provide parents with copy of minutes of meeting including interventions to be utilized and the date of the review meeting
- Provide parents with Prior Written Notice form if needed
- Send the Student Assistance Team Meeting Log to County Office at the end of the year
- Attend the training for the Student Assistance Team Coordinators at the beginning of each year.
