At Morgan Engineering, Inc., we're seeking a skilled Crane Technician to join our team in the Lake Charles area. This role involves assembling, installing, and commissioning industrial overhead cranes at customer sites across the U.S.
We require a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum 3 years of crane experience, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with metrological instruments like micrometers. Additionally, basic organization, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Experience in millwright work, iron work, pipefitting, electrical meters, basic machining, or basic welding is preferred.
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States, pass a background check, and undergo a drug screen. Regularly moving parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and traveling up to 50% as needed are also required. Furthermore, the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, confined spaces, and heights exceeding 150 ft is crucial.
