Role Summary: Installs, maintains, and makes repairs to network devices, software, infrastructure, and peripherals. Provide plant support and technical assistance to users by performing the following duties:

SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, AND/OR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsible for primary setup and deployment of all new PC’s, Laptops, Printers, and other endpoint devices.

Responsible for managing all endpoint Preventive Maintenance, inclusive to all plant-wide and off-prem devices; remediation for any security-related patches and configuration changes.

Responsible for maintaining inventory for: spare parts, replacement peripherals, cabling, etc.

Maintain printer ecosystem – firmware, prev. maintenance, supplies, asset management/identification.

Assist in deployment / maintenance of Forklift/RF mobile computers, technician iPads, and other Android/Apple devices.

GENERAL TASKS, DUTIES, AND/OR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Installs or assists in planning/installation of endpoint devices and peripheral components throughout the Morgan Foods plant, as well as any offsite affiliated locations as needed.

Installs, configures, and maintains specified software packages such as operating systems, productivity suites, and management agents, and security components.

Observes and troubleshoots equipment operation, making necessary adjustments and repairs to return device to normal operations.

Works with endpoint clients and users in a professional and discretionary manner to resolve issues related to equipment or user.

Works with endpoint users to more effectively use their equipment / software as needed or requested.

Continually analyze and recommend potential improvements to equipment, software, and processes.

Assists with installation and removal of networking/phone/video/alert equipment and cabling.

Enforce software policies to ensure compliance and meet security requirements.

Works with other departments to resolve issues and complete projects as required.

Effectively communicates status of open issues with IS staff and users affected.

Works with outside vendors to repair and maintain equipment as necessary; obtain quotes for equipment, software, and related items.

Maintains an inventory on endpoint devices and related data. Maintains endpoint status and configuration in any related management software or asset lists.

Special project assignments that are needed to resolve an on-going issue or assist in providing a long-term solution that allows departmental goals to be met.

Recycling management as required; general housekeeping of IS offices.

Performs other assignments and duties as requested.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

§ Current computer support experience and/or combination of education and training

  • Experience in a Corporate environment preferred
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Problem solving/resolution
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Self-driven
  • Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects (printers, TV’s, etc.)
  • Ability to occasionally operate a man lift or boom lift in elevated environments
  • Continual learning of current IT trends and job-related knowledge

Brief Description of this Job’s Primary Duties:

  • End-User/Plant support for technical issues
  • Endpoint Installations, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting (PC’s, Printers, Plant-Floor; Peripherals, etc.)
  • Mobile Device Management (Android, Apple)
  • Software Installations, Maintenance/Patching, Security adjustments, and Troubleshooting
  • Preventive Maintenance and cleaning of equipment, cabinets, etc.
  • Install / run network and video cabling
  • Maintain Documentation
  • Other Duties or projects as requested
  • Continual learning & experience in other IT aspects

Skills, Education or Special Requirements:

  • Business Experience – Microsoft Focus
  • Networking; System Management
  • Multitasking; Problem Solving; Proactive
  • Good Communication Skills, both written and verbal; ability to train/coach/assist users effectively
  • Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects (printers, cabinets, TV’s, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently; self-starter

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 - $10.00 per year
