Job Summary
Job Title : Summer School Academic Counselor
Job Description :
We are seeking a knowledgeable and supportive Academic Counselor to assist students during our 2025 summer school program. This in-person, on-campus position involves working 4 days per week from June 16 to July 18, 2025, with hours from 8 : 00 AM to 1 : 00 PM. The counselor will also assist with student enrollment prior to the program, ensuring accurate placement and a seamless start for all participants. During the program, the counselor will provide academic guidance and support to help students achieve their educational goals.
Key Details :
Schedule : 4 days a week for 5 weeks, June 16 - July 18, 2025.
Hours : 8 : 00 AM - 1 : 00 PM.
Enrollment Support : Assist with student enrollment and course placement prior to the start of the summer program.
Responsibilities :
Support students with course selection, scheduling, and academic planning.
Assist with the enrollment process, ensuring accurate placement and clear communication with families.
Monitor student progress and provide individualized academic guidance as needed.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to address academic challenges and support student success.
Communicate effectively with families and educational partners to facilitate a positive summer school experience.
Qualifications :
Valid counseling credential or certification.
Experience working as an academic counselor in 9-12 settings preferred.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to promoting student success and academic achievement.
