The Senior IT Project Analyst plays a crucial role in planning, executing, and managing IT projects. The Sr. IT Project Analyst (IT Project Manager/ Business Analyst) plays a key role delivering critical initiatives in the IT organization.
This role helps to bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions and drives the execution of critical initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience managing all aspects of the project lifecycle and has experience document processes and requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Project Life-Cycle Management: Lead project through the entire life-cycle from inception to delivery and closeout following defined standard processes.
- PMO Process & Methodology: Champion value the PMO methodology and practices and facilitate value creation.
- Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of project goals, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Project Control: Monitor and mitigate all project variables including scope, tasks/timeline, risks, budget and other key performance indicators.
- Project Tracking & Reporting: Track and report key project metrics including: schedule & milestones, risks, budget and other key performance indicators.
- Project Scope Management: Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
- Process Mapping: Create process maps and flowcharts to illustrate current and future state business processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide insights into business performance and support data-driven decision-making.
- Solution Design: Work with IT development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and contribute to the design of IT solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Ten years or more of proven experience as an IT Project Manager
- Five years or more of proven experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of business processes and IT systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preferred - Certifications: Project Management and/or Process Management Certifications
- Preferred – Tools : Experience with LucidChart or Visio, Jira & Smartsheet
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
