Position Description
We are looking for a Multi-Family Project Manager that is adaptable, driven individual who desires to be part of a dynamic team with company values centered around teamwork, ownership, and professionalism.
General Responsibilities :
Responsible for planning, directing and fulfilling construction projects to achieve and serve the interrelated interests of the project owner and M-K; meeting required forecasting and reporting responsibilities on upcoming and current projects; ensuring that effective and efficient construction and project management sustainable processes, people and technology are utilized properly; growing relationships with customers and pursuing opportunities for future business; assisting Business Development staff in the acquisition of new customers; communicating and collaborating with members of management and staff within the Group and throughout the company; providing mentoring and training support to project management, site supervision and other staff; ensuring that all team members associated with projects support and adhere to the M-K safety culture and related policies and practices; supporting and adhering to all company operating and regulatory compliance-focused policies and practices.
Essential Duties :
- Ensures that all team members for whom the Project Manager is responsible, as well as other team members with whom he, or she, has contact, support and adhere to the M-K core values and safety culture and related safety policies and practices.
- Plans, directs and fulfills construction projects to serve the interrelated interests of project owners and M-K by performing a wide variety of duties.
- Supports and participates in all required forecasting and reporting responsibilities relating to both construction projects that have been acquired but not yet started, as well as those that are in process.
- Ensures that sustainable business processes, capable and sufficient team member capacity and technology resources are functioning and being followed, in order to support the effective and efficient fulfillment of construction projects.
- Aggressively pursues opportunities to grow relationships with current customers and position the company for future sales; looks for opportunities for business development for other Groups within M-K; assists Business Development staff in making presentations and other activities designed to help acquire new customers for M-K.
- Proactively, professionally and with a team-focused attitude collaborates and communicates with members of management and team members throughout the company to integrate activities and achieve goals for the acquisition, retention and growth of client relationships and toward meeting the growth and profitability objectives for the company.
- Fulfills all requirements relating to maintaining accurate, complete and organized records; provides a wide variety of reports to appropriate parties, as requested and required; makes presentations to various groups regarding records, trends, project information, etc. as needed.
- Provides mentoring and training support to Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents and other Group team members, including competency development, professionalism and career development.
- Supports and, as appropriate, actively participates in industry and discipline construction management groups and events, in order to project a positive image of the company, including relationships with trade associations and other related referral and networking groups.
- Complies with established company operating policies and procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support the adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
- Responds to inquiries or requests relating to his / her particular area within given time frames and within established policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Position Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have multi-family experience in the GC projects. Proficient reading, writing, grammar and analytical skills; visioning, planning and forecasting abilities; proficient work management, people management, leadership and coaching abilities; intimate knowledge and understanding of construction project management and the relationship between effective project management processes and project profitability; an entrepreneurial drive and inclination toward growing customer relationships and the business; proficient computer skills and the demonstrated ability to use project management software applications; capability and drive to achieve and produce results on time; proficient interpersonal relations, communications and professional presentation skills; collaborative and generative attitudes and abilities toward working as part of a team; visual and auditory skills; valid driver's license.
