Summary



Morgan & Morgan is seeking an Attorney to join our growing Employment Law department in the Tampa office or any office in Florida. The Employment Law Attorney will handle and support a heavy and complex caseload of cases from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial with a focus on ERISA matters.


Responsibilities



  • Day-to-day handling of cases from pre-litigation to litigation 

  • Handling pre-suit side, litigation, and assisting senior attorneys on larger litigation

  • This position involves being paired with an experienced attorney who does news-worthy class discrimination cases, wage/hour collective actions and ERISA class cases as well as high-level single plaintiff pre-litigation/litigation cases

  • Drafting of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum

  • Guide clients through the case process

  • Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits

  • Negotiating settlements on high-level cases

  • Assisting in case selection and screening

  • Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances


Qualification



  • Law degree from a fully accredited law school

  • An active member in good standing with the Florida State Bar Association

  • Minimum 5 years of employment law experience, focusing on ERISA matters

  • Experience on wage and hour claims or employment claims is a PLUS

  • Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation cases

  • Excellent client service and communication skills

  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
