Summary
We are seeking to hire a Lien Specialist who will work across regions to finalize case settlement elements related to specific types of liens, including Federal, Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA and other state specific liens. This resource will work with teams to finalize damage amounts and ensure swift payouts to our clients. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.
Responsibilities
- Work with Attorneys to process specific liens within case settlements, including Medicare, Medicaid, Federal, ERISA and other as needed
- Work directly with Finance for check deposits and payments
- Respond to questions/issues regarding the settlement
- Manage appropriate and compliance timelines
- Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, as well as resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney
- Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow
- Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business
Qualification
- Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
- 2 years experience in Personal Injury, Premises, or other injury related practice areas (preferred)
- Experience in working with providers and Lien holders noted above in a similar capacity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must possess the following skills: Initiative, Organization, Planning, Attention to Detail, Follow- through, Confidentiality, Dependability, Client Confidentiality
- Work with attorneys as well as external clients at all levels
- Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor
Salary Range: $65,000 USD - $75,000 USD
