We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Kindergarten Teacher to join our team for the 2025-26 school year.

The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and engaging classroom environment where the focus is on the whole child (socially, emotionally, intellectually, creatively, and physically). This role is an opportunity to shape the early educational experiences of children, laying the foundation for their lifelong learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and Deliver Instruction: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with our curriculum standards and cater to the developmental needs of kindergarten students.
  • Foster a Positive Environment: Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, and mutual respect.
  • Promote Social Development: Support students in developing social skills, including cooperation, communication, and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor and Assess Progress: Regularly assess student performance and progress through anecdotal observations, activities, and formal evaluations, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
  • Incorporate Hands-On Learning: Use hands-on teaching methods to engage students and make learning enjoyable.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with grade level partners, other teachers, administrators and staff members to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
  • Communicate with Families: Build positive relationships with families through weekly newsletters and regular communication about their child’s progress and well-being.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and enforce expectations for behavior and routines for maintaining order in the classroom.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field from a four-year accredited institution (required).
  • Certification: State teaching certification or licensure for kindergarten/early childhood education (required).
  • Experience: Prior experience teaching or working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Creativity in designing engaging learning activities.
    • Patience and empathy to work effectively with young children.
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
    • Organizational skills for managing classroom materials and lesson plans.
