This role is responsible for ensuring safety, efficiency, employee development, and maximum profitability while leading a team of 30 employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project & Crew Management: Oversee daily operations of all dirt and asphalt construction projects, ensuring jobs are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce and maintain strict safety standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA, company policies, and industry regulations. Lead regular safety meetings and training sessions.
- Employee Development: Train, mentor, and develop crew leaders and team members to enhance skills, efficiency, and job performance.
- Equipment Operation & Training: Operate and train employees on all relevant equipment, ensuring proper usage, maintenance, and safety practices.
- Quality Control & Efficiency: Ensure all construction projects meet Morgan Pavement’s high-quality standards while maintaining cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Communication & Coordination: Work closely with upper management, clients, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve issues as they arise.
- Profitability & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability through efficient job planning and resource management.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the dirt and asphalt construction industry, with proven leadership experience.
- Equipment Skills: Must be proficient in operating and training employees on all construction-related equipment.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction site safety protocols.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to manage, train, and motivate a team of 30 employees effectively.
- Bilingual (Preferred): Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.
- Driving Requirements: Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
