Job Title : Medical Scanning ClerkDuties / Responsibilities :
- Utilize scanning equipment and software to scan various documents, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency in the process. Handle documents carefully to avoid damage or loss.
- Thoroughly review scanned documents to ensure they meet all HIPAA compliance requirements. This includes protecting patient privacy, securing sensitive information, and adhering to data protection protocols.
- Maintain meticulous records of all scanned files and pages, creating a comprehensive and well-organized log. Record relevant in accordance with departmental policy.
- Work proactively to meet daily and weekly scanning goals as set by department leaders. Strive to maintain consistent levels of productivity while upholding quality standards;
- Utilize understanding of HIPAA regulations and best practices for safeguarding confidential information. Implement and maintain security measures to prevent unauthorized access to scanned documents.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
