Overview
Our Fixed Income Division Product Control team within Finance team is currently seeking to engage with Baltimore's leading talent to fill a position supporting the Foreign exchange (FX) team. The team works with the trading desk and other support areas (Credit, Operations, IT & Legal) to analyze, consult and report on new and existing businesses. This requires an analytical approach to understanding the risks associated with controlling and accounting for the business. The successful candidate will have an interest in understanding relevant products, as well as PnL reporting processes. We are particularly interested in speaking with you if are a highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- You will deliver P&L reporting to traders and business management on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- You will produce and review month-end close processes for the Fixed Income business.
- You will collaborate with Sales & Trading, Risk Management, Technology, Operations and other Controllers on a day-to-day basis to ensure accurate P&L reporting and analysis.
- You will attribute P&L as transactional, carry, or other market-based portfolio effects.
- You will complete monthly Net Revenue reconciliation identifying and resolving differences between our General Ledger and the P&L reporting systems.
- You will create commentary and required substantiation documentation.
- You will complete analysis and reporting as needed for the Business Unit and Finance Management.
Preferred Qualities:
- You have an interest or familiarity with Financial Markets and Products.
- You have previous work experience in Financial Services, Audit or Accounting.
- You have worked against challenging stakeholders and/ or deadlines to deliver positive results.
- You are willing to observe process and disrupt it in order to prioritize the team's efficiency.
- You will be able to maintain a strong sense of organization and time management skills.
- You are a keen multi-tasker and use a high-paced environment to your advantage.
