Department Profile:
The Mission of the Morgan Stanley US Banks Security Team is to provide Strategy, Oversight, and consultation regarding Cyber and Information Security controls that support the US Banks within the Firm. The team partners with the Technology Divisions within the Firm to ensure a reliable and commercial Technology platform that sufficiently achieves the Security Strategy goals aligned to the business.
Position Description:
The US Banks Security Team is looking for an analyst who can support the team on Incident Management, security controls and gathering materials, supporting documentation for projects involving the Morgan Stanley US Banks Security Team. The materials may involve Policies, procedures, or other materials describing the effectiveness of controls to support the team's projects.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Incident management: Collect data on all information security related events and potential incidents, document findings.
- Partner with business units, legal, Technology Risk, and compliance teams to ensure business is conducted in accordance with applicable data handling requirements.
- Partner with business unit managers to document cause of incident and assess/develop remediation plan.
- Maintain metrics and reporting for senior management and committee presentations.
- Conduct periodic assessments of information security data leakage events to understand patterns, develop prevent processes and improve remediation.
- Participate in implementation of new processes, control assessments and procedures as a result of policy or regulatory changes.
- Participate in various internal reviews and examinations to ensure the business is adequately prepared for all audit, compliance and regulatory reviews.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Preferably 2-3 years of professional experience in information security or financial services industry
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Collaborative work ethic
- Be a self-starter that is detail oriented with excellent people and time-management skills
- Be able to adapt quickly to change and work well in an environment with rapidly changing priorities
Ideal candidate should have familiarity:
- Using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and/or SharePoint
- Financial and/or Technical background
