Department Profile
The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of ~3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

Institutional Securities Group (ISG) Finance:
ISG Finance provides Financial Guardianship, Controllership, and Business Advisory services to the Firm's Sales & Trading and Investment Banking businesses. Sales & Trading delivers sales, trading, and market-making services to global institutions, hedge funds, and investors in almost every type of financial instrument. Investment Banking is a worldwide leader in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), underwriting of equity transactions, corporate debt issuance, and high-yield debt financing. ISG Finance's partnership with the Firm's Sales & Trading and Investment Banking businesses allows for fidelity of the Books & Records, an efficient control environment, and strong Regulatory relationships.

You Will
- Work in close contact with the Business Units including Traders with exposures to various products across Equities and Fixed Income, and exposure to a dynamic pace of the financial market
- Provide business advisory and financial control transparency to the by providing meaningful insights into the Business's financial results including Profit & Loss; Balance Sheet; and the overall Financial Reporting including Budgeting & Forecasting for the ISG Business
- Support the Business Units in the execution of their business strategy and evaluate new product reviews, including review of desk's use of legal entity for the business
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 100,000 and 135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
Skills required
- 3 to 7 years' relevant work experience for non-officer i.e. manager
- Background in Accounting or Financial Services or Finance Function is preferred
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skill
- Quick learner & result oriented, with ability to learn new skills and technology
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly, PowerPoint and Excel
