Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying, and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships, and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures, and markets. Institutional Securities Group Product Operations (ISGPO) partners closely with Sales & Trading and our Clients to process daily activities, develop and implement new products and services, as well as drive efficiency and reduce risk in our processes. ISGPO is comprised of 5 departments: Client Operations, Trading Operations, Financing & Collateral Operations, Trade & Transaction Reporting Operations (TTRO) and Change the Bank (CTB).
This position within the Derivatives Client Service Group involves extensive contact with our clients, our colleagues and global sales force. The group's primary responsibility is to ensure that the client's futures settlement figures are accurate each day. This entails the resolution of all trade breaks, the monitoring of all cash activity in the account and ensuring that the account is fully margined. The business is volume driven so having exceptional organizational skills is a plus. Qualified applicants must be adaptable to change, as some days will require you to work on many different jobs at once. The emphasis of the team is to be a Relationship Manager and provide superior service to the client base.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as a point of contact for Morgan Stanley's top revenue generating clients for operational issues across products and Ops functions.
- Develop and enhance client relationships by providing exceptional levels of client service.
- Expertly navigate the Morgan Stanley organization, across divisions, to deliver timely and accurate issue resolution to complex, business critical issues which may include communication with senior stakeholders within Ops and the BU.
- Strong product skills within Clearing Ops but product literate across other businesses
- Can contribute independently to automation or enhancement initiatives
- Be a change agent and drive the direction of the group strategically by improving the efficiency and control aspects of Clearing, Client service, Reconciliation and Control functions
- Proactively explore solutions to close control gaps and ensure adherence to existing control framework; regular review and understanding of procedures, checklists and reports to ensure they are accurate and current
- Is seen as collaborative across many infrastructure groups to drive solutions for their Clients
- Is trusted to participate in Client pitches with the Sales team
- Visit Clients face to face with some frequency, with or without the Business Unit
- Enhances process improvement ideas and implementation of automation opportunities for our Client business
- Keep abreast of current and upcoming product and functional specific industry initiative related topics.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience in the financial industry within Operations roles.

- Proven ability to work across Global departments to build credibility and strong relationships.

- BACHELOR'S (REQUIRED)
- Superior aptitude to understand, utilize, and improve technology platforms
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Preferably experience with Client Service and Data analysis (i.e. Excel, PowerBI, SQL, Tableau, R, etc)
- Experience in Financial Services, Corporate banking, and/or Investment banking industry
