Firm Risk Management (FRM) supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, model and other risks.
Background on the Position
The role will reside within the Firm Risk Management's (FRM) Portfolio Stress Testing Program Management Team to support the Firm's stress testing programs and capital planning initiatives across Risk Identification, Scenario Design Framework and Stress Testing Analytics. The position will be involved in program management of the stress testing initiatives, including regulatory engagement, governance framework and documentation processes to inform the Firm's risk management and capital planning processes.
The role involves working with a variety of business units and risk professionals across the organization. This position offers opportunities to gain exposure to all aspects of risk management and capital planning and to senior risk managers. The group works in close collaboration with subject matter experts in Market Risk, Credit Risk, Finance, Risk Analytics, Reporting and Model Risk Management, as well as other departments within the Firm.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $200,000 year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Primary Responsibilities
- Drive governance framework and processes for stress testing in FRM, including due diligence, review and challenge, documentation, and senior management committees
- Manage end-to-end coordination and completion of CCAR documentation, regulatory exams, internal audits and independent reviews
- Lead project management of the Firm's risk management and capital planning initiatives within FRM, overseeing timelines, work streams, issue and action plan management
- Produce documentation and presentations to effectively communicate key information to senior management and regulators
- Work with stakeholders across FRM to ensure regulatory compliance, policy alignment and process efficiency improvements Experience/Skills
- Experience in project or process management at financial institutions.
- Detailed-oriented, able to handle complex processes and heavy documents.
- Good listener, strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to engage partners at different levels.
- Time-management and multi-tasking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of risk management in financial institutions.
- Experience in large institution capital stress testing (CCAR/DFAST) preferred.
