Description:
The FID Capital Introduction group is looking for an experienced Vice President to Executive Director level candidate to join the team. The FID Cap Intro VP/ED role will assist in the introduction/distribution of alternative investment funds across multiple asset classes within Fixed Income (including real assets, real estate and private credit and private equity backed notes).
Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to our Global Head of FID Capital Introduction
- Help clients (funds managers/GPs) in their capital raise efforts within Fixed Income markets - initially targeting Private Credit, Real Assets, Real Estate and Private Equity Backed Funds.
- Demonstrate the ability to convert interested institutional investor appetite into commitments for fund manager clients.
- Provide coverage of LP relationships, while managing a series of dialogues with investors and keep the client and colleagues up-to-date with the status of the dialogues.
- Track, research and monitor new investor allocations. Investor types include: pension funds, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, fund of funds, family offices, consultants, OCIOs, sovereign wealth funds etc.
- Create and maintain strong relationships of all top investor accounts with reliable, expectable wallets (in-person meetings, virtual calls, relationship building skills involved)
- Maintain good relationships with fund manager clients.
- Source/reverse originate mandates to meet investor demand in fields where MS can maximize business opportunities across the ecosystem.
- Will be required to take: FINRA SEI, Series 7, 63, 79
You have:
- Strong rolodex of LP investor relationships (North America preferred, a plus if Global or specific focus on niche investor base).
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability of dealing with clients at a senior level and responding to detailed and challenging questions.
- Good knowledge of capital raising/placement/sales processes
- Ability to understand alternative investment products, Private Credit, Real Assets, Real Estate and Private Equity products.
- Min Required: B.S. or B.A. or equivalent.
- Min Required: 5-10 years related experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and CR-related software to track interactions and introductions are a plus.

Expected base pay rates for VP candidates in this role will be between $225,000 and $250,000 and ED candidates in this role will be between $250,000 and 300,000 at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
