Senior Accounting Manager (Remote)

JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Program Accounting Manager oversees the medical billing functions for Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) within Adult and Children’s Clinical Services Department and Department of Developmental Disabilities. This position handles the more complex accounting matters related to the assigned portfolio of programs; ensures billings are done timely and accurately; collections, revenues, and expenses are properly coded and recorded following GAAP; and that reports and related documentation for the A-133 / Single Audit requirements comply with grants and contracts regulations.

• Provides administrative supervision of 3 FTEs.
• Location NW Washington, DC-20001
• Hybrid schedule, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
• Must have experience/background in medical billing.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• BS degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required. Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in accounting with experience in contracts and grants.
• 3 years’ experience as a supervisor.
• Experience in collections, collection processes, financial services and/or customer service. 

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:

• Knowledge of Credible billing software. Strong understanding of GAAP. Familiarity with Federal (A-133) / Single Audit and State regulations related to grants and contracts and aptitude to understand and interpret complex regulations.
• Knowledge of automated system and financial systems: Great Plains Financial System (a plus) and Olympic Project Cost system. Intermediate or advanced with Microsoft Office software, particularly Outlook, EXCEL, Word.

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
