Job Summary
Morgan Truck Body is seeking an experienced Automotive Painter to join our team on the 2nd shift. As a skilled painter, you will be responsible for painting and preparing trucks to customer specifications at a high level of skill and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Painting Operations: Paint all types of truck bodies, including full bodies, chassis and cab, trailers, and tractors, to meet customer requirements.
- Tool Operation: Operate various paint tools, including cup guns, pressure pots, plural systems, and airless sprayers, efficiently and safely.
- Color Application: Spray all colors as determined by work order/customer with precision and accuracy.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to ensure correct paint application and tool setup.
- Equipment Maintenance: Set up and perform preventative maintenance of tools and machines as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety and Quality Checks: Perform safety and quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- Critical Skills: Basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills are essential for this role.
- Prior Experience: Basic experience with paint tools is required.
- Measurement Understanding: Ability to understand and comprehend measurement units is crucial.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret blueprints for special applications is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing Background: Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Truck Body Experience: Previous experience working on truck bodies is beneficial.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 35 pounds.
