To succeed in this role, you must have experience in automotive electrical manufacturing, basic math skills, tape measurement abilities, and computer literacy. Working knowledge of hand and power tools, reading and interpreting blueprints, and previous experience working on truck bodies are also preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent GED is beneficial but not mandatory.

- Cut wood or metals to specific sizes using various saws, sheers, and cutters.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners.
- Operate pneumatic tools and hand tools, performing set up and preventative maintenance as required.
- Examine finished projects for quality and defects, performing safety and quality checks.
