Job Description
DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to performing maintenance of all WTP equipment, booster stations, and water storage tanks. This includes pumps, values, repair of flow meters, altitude valves and telemetry, etc.
Normal hours and days are Monday – Friday, 730am – 4pm. It is imperative that this employee be available to be pulled to days and shifts needed.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
- Gain knowledge and experience to obtain West Virginia Drinking Certification
- Maintenance of all equipment at WTP, booster stations, and water storage tanks, including, but not limited to, repair of flow meters and altitude valves and telemetry maintenance
- Ground upkeep-including grass, snow, painting, and other duties as needed at booster stations and tank sites
- Valid WV Driver’s License
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated areas
- Basic experience using hand tools, hand operated power tools, and lawn equipment
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in maintenance
- Familiarity with or experience working on split casing or vertical pumps
- Familiarity with or experience replacing packing or a mechanical seal
- Experience with pneumatic actuators
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Experience in using power tools and lawn equipment
- Ability to work in elevated areas
- General knowledge in Plumbing
- General knowledge in Valves
- General knowledge in Belt Drives
- General knowledge in Gear Boxes/drives
- General knowledge in Pumps split casing/vertical
