JOB VACANCY TITLE: Meter Reader
LOCATION: Service Department

SALARY: $15 per hour STATUS: Non-exempt

DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Duties include, but not limited to the following:
· Accurately read meters
· Removal of meters for repairs / setting meters for new service
· Meter testing
· Non-payment service shutoff / collections from customer and reconnections of service
· Work productively and efficiently without taking shortcuts
· Required to be on call one week of each month
REQUIREMENTS:
· Valid driver’s license along with a good driving record; Must be at least 18 years of age
· Must possess basic mathematic and writing skills
· Being in good physical condition with ability to walk meter routes is required
· Appropriate personal appearance and good communications skills required due to contact with customers
· Available to work overtime and report to work after hours in response to emergencies
· Abilities to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
