Based near Los Angeles International Airport, you'll work on exciting and engaging Highway projects and utilize your highway/roadway design expertise. You will interpret internal or external business issues and recommend best practices. You will solve complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions; identify applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with our clients. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living leading functional teams or projects and serve as a best practice/quality resource.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation Focus)
- 5-10 years experience in transportation work with an emphasis on infrastructure projects.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Previous Department of Transportation (Caltrans), County or Municipal experience
- Strong Autocad/Civil 3d/MicroStation/Inroads and Openroads background
- Strong analytical, conceptual, organization, communication, and time management skills
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects
We have an immediate need for a 5-10 mid-level roadway design engineer. If you would please send over resumes that you believe would be a good fit, it would be greatly appreciated. Duties and qualifications are as follows:
- Self-Starter – receive direction and run with it
- Schedule/Chair/Develop Meeting Minutes for ATMP landside shareholders
- Proficient at CAD
- Capable of searching for latest mapping documents and recreating in CAD
- Mapping of existing utility constraints – underground and overhead
- Propose the utility relocations necessary to develop per program level goals
- Civil Support – determine the extent of widening / curb, gutter / sidewalk / path locations / drainage / bus stops, ADA compliance, etc.
- Determine areas where widening / phasing is achievable based on physical constraints
- Landscape support – identify utility service points (meters – elec and irrigation) working with our SME, identify geometrics of landscape areas / phase lines. Incorporate goals from the Century Blvd. Streetscape Plan
- Coordinate signage for World Cup/Olympics
- Support in MATOC scoping exhibits and narratives
- Prepare quantity estimates of all disciplines
- Prepare ROMs to seek executive level approvals to outreach engineering scope
Salary : $70 - $85
