Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to handle physical demands associated with loading and unloading cargo.

Job Summary
The Material Delivery Driver is critical to the jobsite flow and a growth opportunity in the field of construction framing. This position will oversee local material deliveries and support Morin’s material inventory system. The Delivery Driver works in tandem with the Lumber Yard Manager,Superintendent, forklift drivers, and crew leads to ensure that material is delivered efficiently and safely.
Duties:
- Delivery Management
- Oversee and execute all material delivery operations for active Morin projects.
- Prepare job sites for the next day(s) by staging material, securing tools, reviewing plans, and planning with the Lumber Yard Manager.
- Proactively work with the jobsite forklift driver to ensure the jobsite is organized, the material is staged correctly, and the crew has the material they need on time.
- Inventory
- Support Morin’s inventory management system by updating and reporting changes, deliveries, etc.
- Suggest changes and improvements to processes related to Morin’s inventory management.
- Load and unload materials on trucks when needed.
- Schedule
- Fully understand project material plan and schedule. Understand the Delivery team schedule and recommend needed changes.
- Prepare the project daily and maintain the delivery pace to keep crews moving productively.
- Be able to effectively use asana to complete tasks.
- Logging in and out of Samsara daily on mobile device to track hours of service.
- Communication
- Attend regular coordination meetings to communicate instructions and plans for the week and set goals.
- Regularly communicate any updates or urgent issues related to material deliveries.
- Communicate with Morin Superintendents with ETA on Deliveries.
- Be able to effectively use asana to complete tasks.
- Complete pretrip every morning using the samsara app.
- Safety
- Understand commercial construction OSHA requirements and violations
- Understand all Dot Regulations for Commercial Vehicles.
- Attend Weekly Safety meetings at Lumber Yard.
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met on the jobsite related to the transporting material
- Hold all crew members accountable to proper OSHA regulations related to Telehandler ForklitIdentify safety violations and address them immediately. Report recurring or major safety violations to the project manager.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Ability to drive 26-foot gooseneck trailer
- Ability to drive a 48’ flatbed trailer
- Ability to forklift material load/unload trailer
- Punctuality (arrival to lumber yard at 6:50 am)

Required Qualifications:
- CDL Class A
- Forklift Certification
- Basic Mechanical Knowledge
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Knowledge of general construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Digital inventory system experience/ability to manage inventory systems
- Self-starter personality and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
- Proven experience as a construction framer
- High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
- The employee must communicate and exchange accurate information interpersonally or through communication devices.
- The position requires frequent movement and the physical ability to lift and carry items weighing approximately 50-90 pounds; climb and work from ladders; bend, stoop, and work around wood dust and fumes in inclement weather conditions. Must be able to remain stationary 75% of the time.
Compensation: Full-time position, $20 - $30 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
