Morin Process Equipment is a leading distributor for process equipment in the southeast. We are a 10-year old company with an established customer base and contacts. Our customer base includes Power Generation, Chemical Process, Pulp & Paper, Iron & Steel and general Industrial markets.
The primary function of the Outside Sales Representative is to constantly remain engaged with customers to promote our products, services & solutions while building and maintaining long-term professional relationships. This is a great position for a candidate that wants to start, or continue to rapidly build their career in industrial sales.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Making calls on existing and new customers
- Develop and implement a sales strategy specifically for your region
- Identify, prioritize and qualify profitable selling opportunities within existing and new accounts
- Follow up on open quotations and other sales leads
- Coordinate quotes and other resources between customer and inside sales
- Provide timely and courteous resolution to customer problems
- Work with the engineering community to provide solutions and specifications on projects
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments
- Identify & communicate strengths/weaknesses/opportunities/competition
- Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals
- Experience in Industrial Sales preferred, but not required
- College degree in Engineering or Industrial Distribution preferred
- Computer Skills including Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point
- Strong Presentation Skills Required
- Basic Mechanical Aptitude Required
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good driving record, valid motor vehicle license, ability to operate motor vehicle and qualify for company required insurance limits
- Must provide reliable transportation
- Ability to pass training and safety clearances as required
- Ability to pass background check & drug test
Working Conditions
- Forty (40) hour work week, extended hours may be required to meet deadlines. Occasional evenings and Saturdays may be required based upon business demand
- Requires travel for the company to customer locations in sales territory
