Morin’s Inc. includes restaurants within Massachusetts and Rhode Island and Russell Morin Catering and Events.
The Role:
We are looking for a strategic HR Manager to join our team. The role will be responsible for overseeing the full employee life cycle, development and implementation of HR programs, policies, and procedures throughout all our Morin’s locations. The HR Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for our employees while fostering a positive company culture, opportunities for growth, and improving overall job satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding to ensure consistent processes across all locations
- Maintenance of HR template and repositories including offer letters, job descriptions, commission agreements, etc.
- Administrate benefit plan enrollments, including plan education and HRIS set up
- Act as an internal liaison on across departments, locations and employee inquiries
- Review and maintain compliant employee handbook and policies for annual employee acknowledgement
- Manage employee accommodations and leave management cycle while maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state requirements
- Maintain all employee personnel files and human resource files within applicable retention guidelines
- Develop and oversee the performance review program
- Provide training to managers on applicable coaching, feedback, related performance metrics and progressive discipline when applicable
- Create and oversee the Company’s anti-harassment efforts including training
- Ongoing maintenance and tracking of employee mandatory training and certifications; answer Professional Development and Tuition Reimbursement related questions
- Conduct internal investigations when applicable
- Develop safety and emergency procedures and oversee worker’s compensation claims
- Responsible for all unemployment claims
- Facilitate offboarding discussions and exit interviews with separating employees
- Responsible for staying up-to-date on Federal and State employment legislation and maintaining knowledge of industry trends
- Conduct compliance audits as a pre-determined schedule as necessary
- Travel to all Morin’s locations throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island for HR presence as applicable
- Responsible for hiring, training and supervising HR staff members when applicable
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 5-7 years HR-related experience; hospitality and/or restaurant industry preferred
- SHRM-CP and/or HRCI Preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong company skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Teams 365, and ability to learn new technology quickly and easily
- Reliable transportation to travel to all Massachusetts and Rhode Island Morin's Inc. locations
- Strong project management and employee relations skills to handle confidential and sensitive situations with diplomacy and excellent judgment
- Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and integrity

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $80,000 – $90,000. Salary will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors.
