ATTENDANT/CLIENT TASK GUIDELINES

BATHING:

• Drawing water in sink, basin or tub
• Carrying/heating water
• Laying out supplies
• Assisting in/out of tub or shower
• Sponge/bed bathing drying
• Stand by for assistance

DRESSING:

• Dressing client
• Undressing client
• Laying out clothing

EXERCISING

• Taking client for a walk

FEEDING:

• Spoon/bottle feeding
• Assistance with using eating or drinking
• Utensils/adaptive devices

SHAVING/ORAL CARE:

• Shaving
• Brushing teeth
• Applying make-up
• Caring for nails
• Laying out supplies

ROUTINE HAIR/SKIN CARE:

• Washing/drying hair
• Combing/brushing hair
• Assisting with braiding/rolling/setting hair-DOES NOT- include styling, permanents: curling or chemical processing of hair
• Applying non-prescription lotion to skin
• Washing hands and face
• Laying out supplies
• Folding and putting away clothes

BANAR AL CLIENTE:

• Sacar agua de lavabo, lavamanos, o tina de baño
• Cargar o calendar agua
• Sacar los útiles
• Bañarle con una esponja/en cama y secarlo
• Este alerto a la seguridad del cliente

VESTIR AL CLIENTE:

• Vestir al cliente
• Desvestir al cliente
• Preparar la ropa al cliente

EJERCISIO:

• Llevar al cliente a caminar

ALIMENTAR:

• Alimentarlo por boca/biberón
• Ayudarle a usar los utensilios para comer o tomar, o usar aparatos adaptados para facilitar la alimentación.

REAURAR/EL ASEO PERSONAL:

• Rasurar
• Cepillar los dientes
• Aplicar maquillaje cuando es deseado
• Depilar axilas o piernas cuando lo requiera
• El cuidado de las unas
• Sacar los utensilios a la vista del cliente

CUIDADO RUTINARIO DEL CABELLO O

LA PIEL:

• Lavar/secar el cabello
• Ayudar a hacer peinados, trenzas-No-incluye hacer cortes, permanentes, estilos, ni procesos químicos
• Peinar/cepillar cabello
• Aplicar crema no prescrita a la piel
• Lavar manos y cara
• Sacar los utensilios a la vista del cliente

TOILETING:

• Changing diapers
• Changing colostomy bag/empty catheter bag
• Assisting on/off bed pan
• Assisting with use of urinal
• Assisting with feminine hygiene needs
• Assisting with clothes during toileting
• Assisting with toilet hygiene; includes use of toilet paper or washing hands
• Changing external catheter
• Preparing toileting supplies and equipment,
• DOES NOT include preparing catheter equipment
• Stand by for assistance

TRANSFER/AMBULATION:

• Non-ambulatory movement from one stationary position to another (transfer)
• Adjusting/changing client’s position in bed/chair (positioning)
• Assisting client in rising from a sitting to standing position and/or position for use of walking apparatus
• Assisting with putting on and removing leg braces prostheses for ambulation
• Assisting with ambulation/using steps
• Stand by assistance with ambulation

CLEANING:

• Cleaning up after other personal care tasks, e.g. bathing, meal preparation, toileting, etc.
• Emptying and cleaning bedside commode
• Cleaning bathroom; i.e. tubs/shower, toilet, sink, floor
• Changing bed linens
• Making up bed
• Floor cleaning of living areas used by client
• Dusting
• Carrying out trash, setting out garbage for pick-up
• Cleaning stove-top, counters, washing dishes

LAUNDRY:

• Doing hand wash
• Gathering and sorting
• Loading and unloading machines in residence
• Laundromat
• Hanging clothes to dry

HYGIENE PERSONAL DEL SERVICIO:

• Cambiar panales
• Cambiar bolsa de colostomía o vaciar bolsa de sonda orinaría
• Ayudar a poner/quitar el bacín al cliente
• Ayudar a usar el urinario
• Ayudar con higiene femenina
• Ayudar con la ropa
• Ayudar con la higiene en el servició este incluye el uso del papel sanitario el lavado de las manos
• Cambiar sonda externa
• Preparar utensilios del servicio, No incluye la preparación de utensilios para introducir sonda
• Este alerto a la seguridad del cliente

CAMBIO DE POSTURA Y CAMINAR:

• Movimiento no ambulatorio de una postura estacionaria a otra (transferencia)
• Ajusta o cambiar la postura del cliente enla cama o la silla
• Ayudar al cliente a levantarse de la silla y ponerse en posición para aplicarse un aparato
• Ayudar a poner o quitar aparató de piernas con próstesis para caminar
• Este alerto cuando sea necesario
• Este alerto con ambulatorio

LIMPIEZA:

• Limpiar después de las tareas de aseo personal por ejemplo, el bañó, tina, la preparación de los alimentos, etc.
• Limpiar y vaciar la silla-bacín
• Limpiar el cuarto del baño, tina, taza del baño, piso
• El cambio de la cama
• Tender la cama
• Limpiar el piso de las áreas ocupadas por el cliente
• Sacudir
• Limpiar encima de la estufa y las mesitas de gabinete; lavar vasijas.

LAVAR ROPA:

• Lavar ropa a mano
• Juntar y separar la ropa para lavar
• Cargar de ropa a la lavadora/secadora de la residencia
• Lavandería
• Tender la ropa
• Doblar y guardar la ropa

MEAL PREPARATION:

• Cooking full meal
• Warming up prepared food
• Planning meals
• Cutting client’s food for eating
• Serving food
• Grinding and pureeing food

ESCORT:

• Arranging for transportation
• Accompanying client to clinic, doctor’s office or other trips made for the purpose of obtaining medical diagnosis or treatment
• Waiting in the doctor’s office or clinic with a client when necessary due to client’s condition and/or distance from home

SHOPPING:

• Preparing shopping list
• Going to store and purchasing or picking up items
• Picking up medications from the pharmacy
• Opening medication at request of client

ASSISTANCE WITH SELF ADMINISTERED

MEDICATIONS:

• Reminding
• Getting glass of water
• Bringing medication container to client
• Opening medication at request of client

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $10.60 - $11.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Morning shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Required)

Shift availability:
