Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Director to oversee and manage the daily operations of our programs. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, maintaining compliance with state regulations, and leading a team of dedicated staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and has a strong background in program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Oversight:
- Oversee and manage all programs, ensuring they align with Morning Star’s mission and values.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans (ISPs) in collaboration with families, clients, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with DDD policies, state regulations, and internal procedures.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, including Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and administrative staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and support.
- Client & Family Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families and guardians, ensuring open and effective communication.
- Address concerns or issues promptly and effectively, fostering a positive relationship with clients and their families.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic record-keeping systems (e.g., Dropbox, HHA Exchange).
- Monitor program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Prepare reports and present program outcomes to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in developmental disabilities or a similar field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of DDD regulations, ISP development, and person-centered care.

- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic record-keeping systems (e.g., Dropbox, HHA Exchange).
