Job Overview:
We are seeking a Service Technician who is passionate about coffee equipment and customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of coffee equipment in our cafes and for our customers. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to keeping our coffee machines and equipment running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee-related equipment in both our stores and customer locations.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues efficiently and accurately.
- Provide hands-on technical support to staff and customers, answering questions and offering guidance on equipment use and care.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area and ensure all tools and parts are properly stored.
- Document all service activities, including the equipment serviced, parts replaced, and issues resolved.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest coffee equipment technology and trends to provide the best possible service.
- Communicate with the Operations Manager to coordinate service schedules, inventory needs, and equipment updates.
- Assist with the training of staff on proper maintenance and care of coffee equipment.
- Ensure all safety protocols and company policies are followed while servicing equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant experience is a plus.
- Proven experience in servicing and maintaining coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for coffee and delivering excellent customer service.
