Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced, organized, self-starter Accounting Manager with a strong background in financial management and accounting. The Accounting Manager will support our Marina division with primary responsibilities to include overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, capital expenditure tracking and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to various stakeholders in the company. The position reports directly to VP of Accounting.


What You'll Do:

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for properties owned with complex reporting requirements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support the Marina division operations team with financial planning, analysis, and questions on systems.
  • Manage accounting related needs during acquisitions and due diligence process.
  • Manage each marina’s current and projected cash flow relative to ongoing and known future obligations to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Review bank reconciliation for accuracy and timeliness. Investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all marina property assets, including fixed assets and capital expenditures.
  • Manage equity inflows through capital calls for new acquisitions and distribution cash outflows.
  • Provide leadership and support to accounting team members.
  • Prepare annual budgets and quarterly reforecasting.
  • Oversee accounting functions related to the marina operations point-of-sale system.
  • Oversee accurate reporting for property and sales tax.
  • Coordinate with outside auditors and tax professionals and provide needed information for annual external audits.
  • Participate in departmental projects that deploy updated processes and technology to create efficiency and automate manual tasks.
  • Assist with special projects or tasks to support the marina division and company goals.
  • Be part of an amazing team of accounting and real estate professionals.


What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Eight years or more of related accounting experience required.
  • Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
  • Prior experience with real estate acquisitions and complex ownership structures preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Yardi, MRI and/or other accounting software a plus.
  • Ability to meet and manage critical deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to adapt within a highly dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft based software such as Excel and Word.
