About the Position:
Morningstar is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rehabilitation Therapy Professional to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our rehabilitation department, you will be responsible for providing speech-language pathology services to our residents, helping them regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to residents with disorders of speech, voice, swallowing, and language
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to identify areas for improvement
- Utilize various techniques and modalities to facilitate communication and cognitive development
Requirements:
- Current NYS license as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow with supervision
- Master's degree from an accredited school of speech-language pathology
- ASHA certification in Speech-Language Pathology or participation in the Clinical Fellow Year Program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
