Sterling Healthcare is looking for a motivated, caring, compassionate and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead the clinical team at our all in a unique, intimate setting on the St. Joe River, close to downtown South Bend and Notre Dame .
Ideal candidate's would be a Registered Nurse with previous DON / Assistant DON or management experience in an assisted living enviorment
Able to work with and provide guidance to a dedicated team
Able to effectively communicate with other staff, providers, patients, and patient families
Compassion and a positive, outgoing personality
Strong critical thinking, communication, team building, and leadership skills
As the Director of Nursing, you are responsible for the nursing care and service to the patients in your facility, and you supervise the staff assigned to deliver patient care. You plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate nursing services that will meet the needs of the residents, and that will comply with company policy and the State and Federal regulations governing those services.
Lead our Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standard guidelines
Coordinate nursing services and other resident services to make sure we're providing quality care.
Participate in the resident admission process through interviewing and selection
Perform daily rounds to observe residents and make sure nurses have what they need to provide great care
Monitor medication distribution and treatment schedules to guarantee actions are performed as required
