Overview:
Under the direction of the Director of Global Trade Marketing, the Trade Marketing Manager will lead the Go to Market Strategy, translating the Brand & Innovation strategy into external Category growth opportunities, across the relevant retail channels (Sephora, Nordstrom, Bluemercury), Travel Retail and Spa Hospitality.
This role represents Moroccanoil as the face of the brand with retailers. The key to the role is to work collaboratively with other cross-functional departments including Sales, Education, Marketing, Digital, Visual Merchandising, Creative and International retail teams.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Serve as Marketing key contact for retailers including Sephora, Nordstrom, Bluemercury
- Support the creation of retail-specific strategies, including launch support and seasonal integrated calendar
- Prepare decks for retailer market meetings, including plans for seasonal newness and core business
- Help drive the synergy of brick and mortar and .com, working to evolve the business to fully capitalize on the strengths of each channel
- Own sampling strategy by retailer in conjunction with sales and operations team
- Lead promotional gift set strategy for key retailer, including exclusive promo sets
- Assists forecasting process including open stock and promotional sets
- Supports execution and follow-on analysis of targeted digital co-op media programs for prioritized newness and basic business
- Work with Visual Merchandising and Sales on planogram assortment based on sku priorities and productivity
- Ownership of creative for retailer specific programs and animations in collaboration with Brand Marketing, with ability to build creative briefs, meet with creative & provide feedback on behalf of the brand
- Make analytically supported recommendations to influence sales performance
- Measure marketing program effectiveness by regular monitoring of KPI's
- Maintain retail marketing and promotional calendar for key retailers
- Collaborate with retail team to develop relevant animations, events, and instore programs
- Collaborates with the International Retail Marketing teams for synergies with global retailers like Sephora (NA, EU and Asia)
- Advise on test and learn in-store marketing programs
- Lead development of seasonal communications to the Field in collaboration with the Sales team
- Conduct competitive research to support in retail strategies
Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business is required, MBA preferred; passion for all things Beauty
- Minimum 4-6 years relevant work experience in Marketing or Product Management in CPG (Prestige beauty category a plus)
- Experience working with Department Stores and Open-sell accounts
- Experience owning online offline: digital marketing/omni-channel proficient
- Excellent presentation and communication skills is required
- Ability to tell a story with data and find real insights to drive business
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset: ability to move, propose new ideas and being proactive
- Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint)
- Collaborative; team player
- Organized, attention to detail, good follow through
- Solid project management skills
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
