Position Summary: This Financial Reporting Accountant role is deal for a finance or economics professional with 2-3 years of FP&A experience who is eager to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, the ability to analyze complex data, and a passion for driving strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in financial closing processes by preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to payroll, fixed assets, asset amortization, and accruals.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements including client P&Ls for assigned companies in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and review journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment for various intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate and manage assigned companies and resolve any issues regarding month and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze G&A flux analysis by comparing financial data over periods, identifying and explaining significant variances within individual accounts, and summarizing findings and recommendations within reports for management.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with the accounting team on consolidated financial statements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-3 years of FP&A experience or related financial analysis experience.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced functions).
- Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive Insights, or similar) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
