Job Summary
The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa’s local area network (LAN), server infrastructure, and telecommunications systems. This role ensures continuous availability, security, and reliability of the property’s network operations while supporting the needs of internal departments and contributing to operational efficiency through expert system administration and problem-solving.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitors and maintains core network components, RF network connections, and PBX telecommunications systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Administers data recovery systems and proactively addresses potential vulnerabilities.
- Analyzes existing systems and procedures, implementing improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
- Utilizes network monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Strictly follows IT Change Management procedures, obtaining appropriate approvals prior to making any network modifications.
- Documents technical procedures, system changes, and configurations in compliance with internal standards.
- Conducts routine visual inspections of network wiring locations, maintaining a well-organized and safe environment.
- Assists in managing a Windows-based server environment, including maintenance and updates.
- Collaborates with IT team members to support special projects and system upgrades.
- Maintains a professional, safe, and secure work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Server, Cisco networking systems, RF infrastructure, and firewall configuration.
- Experience with server virtualization, database management, and email systems administration (Microsoft Exchange preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support internal teams and respond to technical inquiries.
- Committed to maintaining system integrity and ensuring high levels of availability across IT infrastructure.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network , CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network administration or IT infrastructure roles.
- At least 2 years of experience managing and maintaining enterprise-level networks, including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and systems (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar) preferred.
- Prior experience in a high-availability, fast-paced IT environment strongly preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.

Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

WORKING HOURS:
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
