Representative - Promotions

Job Summary

Provides support of special events and promotions for the Marketing Department while promoting Morongo Rewards membership by assisting patrons through the membership process and answering questions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintains relationships with known players and develop relationships with potential players
• Meets, greets and delivers exceptional service to all guests in person or over the phone. Assists with resolution of guest issues
• Seeks out and “sells” guests on the value of signing up for a Morongo Rewards Card. Achieves daily, weekly and monthly signup/email/phone number and carded play goals set forth by the Marketing team
• Enrolls guests in Morongo Rewards and issues new player cards, reprints, PIN changes and maintains accurate player tracking information
• Maintains in depth knowledge of all Morongo Rewards offers, rewards, events, amenities, and general property information
• Assists all other casino departments with the issuance of players cards for established and new guests
• Accurately communicates all marketing activities, promotions, offers, and amenities available to guests
• Facilitates promotional programs designed to attract and retain large groups of new and existing guests to the casino
• Assists with guest service needs at a promotion and special event to ensure success of events
• Assists with crowd control during promotions and special events
• Assists with collateral placement, implementation of promotions and special events, prize inventory, fulfillment, warehouse maintenance, and administrative support for the Promotions Department
• Provides a BEST experience to each and every guest
• Ensure all equipment and work areas are kept stocked, clean, neat, and in working order, as well as communicate when supplies are needed
• Locates promotional items in the Warehouse and distributes.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department

Qualifications

Must have excellent guest service, computer, verbal and written skills. Working knowledge of Synkros, Group Tracker and PKMS software. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information.  Ability to tactfully and diplomatically interact with all guests. Ability to handle high stress situations with composure. Ability to speak to large or small groups.  Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Must be competent with various PC based software programs. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and Team members. Must possess excellent business sense and professional ethics. Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations. Must be self-motivated, goal and detail oriented, and possess strong organizational skills. Required to act as a sales representative and illustrate the benefits of the Morongo Rewards Card.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. One year of guest relations experience preferred with the ability to handle a high volume, fast-paced environment. This position will require Title 31 Anti-Money Laundering training. The training will be provided by MCRS and must be taken within the first two (2) weeks of starting within the role and renewed on an annual basis

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and effectively present information and respond to questions from the guests and Team Members.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form, and have the judgement to decide which procedures apply to a variety of situations. Ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with Team members and guests. Skill in operating standard office equipment. Must reason with people effectively yet cordially. Professional demeanor and optimism are essential. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The team member frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to sit. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires the ability to hear and speak on the telephone and specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.

WORKING HOURS:

Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require Team Members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
