What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nuclear Med Tech position at Morph Enterprise?
Performs in vivo and therapeutic nuclear med procedures:
- Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for admin via injection, ingestion and inhalation methods under indirect supervision of board certified radiologist
- Greets patients in friendly and professional manner
- Ensures proper patient identification
- operates radiation protection, calibration and imaging equipment
- positions and immobilizes patients as needed
- applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self and others
- evaluates recorded images for technical quality
- assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during exam and treatment
- practices aseptic technique as needed
- ensure proper documentation of exam, technical factors, film usage, quality improvement, etc.
- Performs quality control checks as required
Must be highly professional, work well with others and able to adhere to established hospital and medical imaging department policies, rules and regulations
