The IT Project Management Analyst will partner with our client’s Program Team to support the agency’s strategy and compliance work on IT Optimization and Modernization within Federal agencies.  The role will take direction from the client’s Program Team and the company’s onsite manager to work across the organization supporting various related activities.  Duties will include, but are not limited to engagement with stakeholders to elicit and track project progress, organize/facilitate/document program meetings with stakeholders, develop regular status reports for use by the Program Team in dealing with Senior Leaders and external agencies, and support the Program Team in coordination with external vendors on the industry trends and training opportunities.  Via these tasks, the IT Project Management Analyst is expected to actively participate in executing the client’s strategy to transform, optimize, and/or consolidate IT infrastructure and facility operations. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting for the client’s Program Team
  • Manage processes and governance for inventory and cloud consumption data collection
  • Provide management oversight of data center colocation service providers
  • Develop instructions and guidance for stakeholder participation in required activities
  • Coordinate IT modernization projects to include schedules, dependencies, status, and reporting
  • Schedule, conduct, document, and communicate information from related project meetings
  • Represent the Program Team in dealings with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and industry
  • Create presentation materials for Program Team leadership utilization and present as required
  • Facilitate the program’s execution via an agile project management methodology
  • Support Program Team delivery of required artifacts to meet security compliance to operate

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 8 years of experience with at least 4 years in project management
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or the equivalent in experience
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team within a collaborative client environment
  • Experience working across departmental lines within a larger organization
  • Functional understanding of IT environments and cloud computing platforms
  • Familiarity with Telecommunications Industry Association, ANSI/TIA-942: Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Data Centers and Uptime Institute, Data Center Site Infrastructure Tier Standard: Topology, is a plus
  • Experience with IT metrics and KPI definition and reporting
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft® Office Suite tools, specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Experience in MS Project or equivalent for creating schedules and tracking projects to completion
