The office is within walking distance to shopping, dining and special events with free parking and transportation from the CTA Blue Line. While we will continue to offer a flexible work schedule, we are only considering candidates who are enthusiastic about being in the Rosemont office to collaborate with their colleagues three days per week.

Morreale Communications is an award-winning woman-owned public relations firm with a specialty focus in transforming outcomes in the areas of Transportation, Infrastructure & Mobility (TIM), Health & Wellness, Energy & Utilities and Public Affairs. We are looking to fill this newly created position to lead and manage project teams with an eye on measuring key outcomes for our clients in our TIM practice.

The Senior Communications Manager is an expert project manager and critical thinker with excellent client relations skills. They have extensive experience developing strategies for communications campaigns within the transportation industry using a combination of resources. They are both a thinker and a doer who can provide effective counsel to our clients, as well as lead the project lifecycle alongside our team. Experience with virtual public engagement is preferred but not required. Experience within the transportation, infrastructure or mobility industries is required for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the full lifecycle of communications projects for clients, including project start up, resourcing, budget compliance and successful execution of deliverables.
  • Create versatile and strategic messages to satisfy client objectives
  • Lead and work with the project and design team to shape highly technical information into digestible messaging for targeted public consumption
  • Create and implement social and digital education strategies, aligning community partnerships and identifying external forums to convey client stories and support thought leadership strategies
  • Identify key stakeholders including diverse audiences, community leaders, elected leaders and opinion leaders to ensure the right message is being developed and delivered in an effective way
  • Lead rapid response team and protocol to respond quickly to any media or social media issues
  • Attend and manage in-person client events and functions throughout the Chicagoland area and state of Illinois
Job Requirements
  • 6 years professional experience in the areas of communications and marketing
  • Demonstrated expertise with successful, detailed project management, including management of project budgets, resource utilization & staffing
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to solve problems and find the best way to convey a message
  • Demonstrated communications skills and ability to meet client expectations
  • Ability to think creatively to produce engaging content
  • Ability to work with the design team to produce collateral materials
  • Ability to track multiple tasks for multiple projects to keep on time and budget
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects on deadline
  • Proven experience building coalitions, engaging stakeholders and managing communications needs
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must reside in Illinois within the Chicagoland area and have the ability to commute to our office 3 times per week, as well as visit client sites/attend client events as necessary
