Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and be adept at using various hand and power tools. As a Carpet Installer, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing carpet in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Measure and assess the area where carpet will be installed, ensuring accurate dimensions for cutting.
• Cut carpet to size using appropriate tools while adhering to safety standards.
• Install carpet using various techniques, including stretching, tacking, or gluing as required by the project.
• Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, or repairing surfaces to ensure proper installation.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; perform minor repairs as necessary.
• Ensure job sites are clean and organized before, during, and after installation.
• Address any issues or concerns that arise during the installation process promptly.

Skills

• Proficiency in flooring installation techniques with a focus on carpet.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction and flooring projects.
• Knowledge of construction estimating to provide accurate project assessments.
• Familiarity with water damage restoration processes is a plus.
• Basic carpentry skills to assist with any necessary adjustments during installation.
• Understanding of concrete finishing and drywall work can enhance overall project execution.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
