General Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this position is to drive business volume and profitability to meet company sales targets. This is achieved by exceeding customer expectations, nurturing account relationships, identifying new opportunities within existing customer bases, and converting prospects into new customers. Success in this role requires effective collaboration with internal teams, use of company systems (Salesforce and Epicor P-21), and consistent adherence to established processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of customers, understanding their needs, buying patterns, and upcoming construction projects.
- Regularly engage with customers through phone calls, office visits, and jobsite visits.
- Increase sales by identifying cross-selling opportunities and revitalizing inactive accounts.
- Consistently follow up on committed opportunities until the order is placed and the product is delivered.
New Business Development:
- Identify and convert new prospects into active customers by following up on leads from Salesforce, business development teams, internet sources, and in-store interactions.
- Expand the customer base and contribute to company growth through proactive prospecting and lead conversion.
Market Research:
- Regularly travel within the assigned region to uncover new construction projects that align with the company’s offerings.
- Gather market intelligence from project sites, customers, and vendors to generate new leads in Salesforce and convert them into sales opportunities.
Customer Liaison:
- Act as the main point of contact for customer issues related to service, quality, product concerns, and credit collections.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve any customer issues promptly and efficiently.
- Manage non-standard customer requests and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure satisfaction.
Pricing and Proposals:
- Create accurate sales quotes for customer and prospects.
- Calculate accurate pricing for foam moldings, special order items and direct shipments.
- Provide submittal packages to architects and customers, ensuring all technical details are clearly communicated.
Sales Documentation:
- Generate accurate sales documentation, including quotes, proposals, and related records.
- Utilize Salesforce and Epicor P-21 to track sales activities and assist with pipeline management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist sales management with budgeting and forecasting through continuous communication with customers.
- Regularly update Salesforce and use Epicor P-21 to monitor and manage sales activities and customer relationships.
Front-Counter Support:
- Assist customers at the front counter as needed. Keep the showroom organized and maintained. Work with procurement to maintain appropriate stock levels.
Stock Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure materials are stocked to meet customer demand and minimize supply chain disruptions.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
- Construction industry experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, with experience in Epicor ERP a plus.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
