Job Description:
This position is responsible for the design and bills of material for new equipment, systems and components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and release engineering component and assembly 3D models and associated drawings.
- Develop Bills of Material for custom and semi-custom equipment.
- Review and check production drawings for dimensional, system, and technical accuracy.
- Coordinate and perform changes generated from engineering reviews and manufacturing markups.
- Perform design for assembly and manufacturing assessments on components and assemblies.
- Work with Engineering to ensure proper design procedures and standards are met.
- Work with vendors and utilize outside sources as necessary to complete design or prototype.
- Must be able to multi-task projects and meet customer requirements while maintaining production schedule.
- Execute projects that deliver the cost, quality, and product specifications in the timeframe required.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding and general application of engineering principles theories, concepts, and techniques.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- AS in Drafting or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Solid Works acceptable.
- Experience with sheet metal, piping, welding, power trains, refrigeration systems, etc.
- Experience with engineering projects including warranty reductions, cost reductions, and upgrades to current products.
- At least 3 years experience evaluating and developing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems.
- Experience with industrial products in a low volume, high variability manufacturing environment.
- Ability to manage their time and complete projects when scheduled.
