Job Description:
Our design engineers work as part of a team to support: product designs, manufacturing methods, and product improvements. This requires performing engineering calculations, creation and review of part models and drawings, and the generation of technical documentation. They also provide hands-on technical support for the manufacture, assembly, and testing of prototype equipment on-site as well as interfacing with suppliers, sales engineers, and project/product managers to develop new innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take products from concept to production with a practical understanding of manufacturing and solid engineering fundamentals.
- Provide innovative solutions to product design and development, and DFM.
- Creation and review of bills of materials, manuals and fabrication drawings.
- Complete and review mechanical design and engineering calculations.
- Machine design materials selection, stress analysis, and structural optimization.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3D CAD design experience (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
Preferred:
- Proven manufacturing background.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Experience in design for assembly and design for manufacturability.
- Experience with metal fabrication and assembly processes.
- Ability to successfully manage both up and down within the organization.
- Experience with industrial refrigeration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 0-5 years related experience
