Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to efficiently use various welding techniques on stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum in all positions
- Have hands-on experience with GMAW, GTAW, SMAW
- Produce consistent, high quality welds
- Proficient in laying out, positioning and fitting up components prior to welding
- Ability to use oxy-acetylene flame and plasma cutting equipment
- Ability to safely operate various hand and power tools such as grinders, sanders and drills
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and associates welding symbols and callouts
- Ability to read and understand bills of material and charge material electronically
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED
- 2 to 5 years welding experience
- Proficient computer skills for data input
- Additional certification in welding technology or similar formal welding training
- 2 or more years of ASME or other related code welding experience
- 2 or more years pipe welding experience
- Any mechanical experience a plus
