The Morris County School of Technology has an anticipated opening for a full-time Teacher of Social Studies to fulfill a leave of absence from March 17, 2025 - June 30, 2025 All candidates must be properly certified as a Teacher of Social Studies (endorsement code #2300). Position Purpose : Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' knowledge of social studies.
Essential Functions :
- Develops and administers Social Studies curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress.
Sucessful prior teaching experience in Social Studies preferred.
