Position Overview



This is an exciting opportunity to serve as a key contributor in building a contemporary, performance-focused marketing organization, including amplifying M&D’s growth strategy and establishing our brand positioning and awareness in both new markets and the legacy markets we serve today.

We need an experienced, skilled marketing professional that can balance strategic planning and tactical execution of impactful, integrated campaigns and initiatives designed to tell our unique story and secure our role as the leading choice among wholesale pharmaceutical distributors.

Reporting To The Senior Vice President Of Marketing, The Successful Candidate Will Ideally Office In Our Corporate Headquarters In Shreveport, LA Or Remotely In The Dallas Area. You’ll Have Marketing Experience In The Healthcare Industry And Work Jointly With Our Customer-facing Sales And Service Teams To Design The Following Deliverables That Align With Our Corporate Financial And Operational Goals

Brand management, insights and messaging: Support market / customer research and insights. Work with SVP Marketing on message development. Own messaging/ brand training to drive consistency across internal audiences.

Demand generation: Support and lead specific elements and accountability of results for targeted marketing campaigns that are aligned to business performance objectives.

Events marketing: Develop pre-show campaigns to drive interest and engagement with our M&D thought leaders at key industry events. Develop content and design post-show lead tracking for follow-up. Own pre/post-event marketing for M&D signature customer events and support marketing team in overall execution of customer events.

Sales enablement: Integrate marketing support into sales enablement by working with product segment leaders to identify needs and develop tools/resources that support sales, account management, customer service and business development teams. This may include sales presentations, sales sheets, case studies, talking points, sales play cards, videos and client education materials.

Content strategy & content development: Work with SVP Marketing on content strategy for individual product channels, pain points and personas. Build relationships across the organization to identify and share story-telling opportunities. Oversee development of thought leadership content, including topic identification, interaction with SME’s, coordination with outside contractors (writers, designers) and optimization of the content through various channels to drive engagement throughout the sales cycle.

Customer communication: Support messaging development and content delivery for key customer communications, including communications about industry-related topics, specific products and oversight of our monthly customer newsletter.

Marketing team processes and optimization: Serve as primary liaison and day-to-day support with SVP, Marketing. Develop marketing dashboard for on-going key marketing metrics attributed to corporate goals. Work with SVP Marketing to identify new marketing platforms, technologies and services needed to support company-wide planned growth and expansion.

The Chosen Candidate Will Have

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, strategic communications, public relations or related field
  • 5 years of full-service marketing experience
  • Highly collaborative and creative storyteller abilities
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, writing and content development skills
  • Strong knowledge of digital & performance marketing
  • Successfully planned and produced remote customer events and webinars
  • Familiarity with current marketing technologies and social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong PowerPoint skills
  • The ability to accommodate up to 25% travel for industry/trade events and visits to our corporate headquarters (if not based in Shreveport, LA)

Preference Will Be Given To Candidates That Have

  • Specific experience marketing for large healthcare networks or pharmaceutical distributors.
  • A strong, current knowledge of the healthcare industry, including trends and challenges.
  • Experience developing CRM strategies for optimum data management and utilization.
  • Experience managing small to medium-sized marketing teams.

Compensation: Up to $130K with eligibility for annual bonus plan; cellphone allowance.
