Description
The individual is responsible for maintaining, incorporating, and accurately accounting for all medical records information on each patient. By preparing documents for scanning into the electronic document management system. Examine pages and verifies patient identifications on each page. Appropriately batches documents and maintains scanning equipment manually indexes documents to the correct level as established by facility policy. This individual must have vigorous customer accommodation skills to maintain correct level. This individual must be accurate when recording data and scanning patient information. This individual will work with patient data that are required by Jaw to be kept confidential. This individual must follow all HIP AA privacy regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications
Experience in health information management department preferred with a minimum of3 years' experience (mandatory). Know of EHR system (Electronic Health Record). Knowledge of Medical Technology & Anatomy
Good verbal, written and computer communication skills; ability to interact with customers. The employee must demonstrate, on an ongoing basis, the ability to develop and maintain a good worlding relationship with a co-worker and other departments.
Ability to perform job function and make decisions without direct supervision; ability to evaluate and process the required documents per hour.
English and Spanish; ability to read and to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence.
Ability to apply basic mathematical skills for calculating payment for request of copies of the health record and for statistics for measuring productivity.
Salary : $21 - $23
