In this role, you will collaborate with the Office of Transfer Initiatives to manage transfer-related programs, oversee articulation agreements, and ensure compliance with Maryland’s Transfer with Success Act and other policies.Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain partnerships with community collegesGuide students and advisors through the transfer processManage transfer fairs, workshops, and orientation programsCollect, analyze, and report on transfer student dataProvide academic advising and career support for transfer studentsRequirements BA / BS degree from an accredited institutionStrong interpersonal, communication, and program management skillsExperience with student information systems (Ellucian Banner, TES, ARTSYS) and data managementFamiliarity with transfer regulations and trendsRequested Minimum Qualifications BA / BS degree from an accredited higher education institution is required.At least two years of experience in higher education, student affairs, academic advising, or a related area.Familiarity with transfer student academic development policies, advising, and partnerships.Strategic thinking, identifying and solving problems, and dealing with multiple projects simultaneously.Flexibility to deal with changing department needs.Ability to multitask, problem-solve, plan, organize, prioritize, and follow multiple projects and tasks through completion with attention to detail and follow-through.Work independently to meet various time deadlines and work pressures with frequent interruptions.Other Preferences for Consideration Technical Skills Proficient in Ellucian Banner Student Information System (SIS), or other computerized student information system.Experience with database user interface and query software similar to College Source TES, Navigate 360, and ARTSYS.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Google applications.Experience with data collection, management, and report generation (Access, Excel, Sheets, Smartsheets, Hiver, etc.)Experience with social media, website management, and graphics tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Instagram)Experience working with transfer students or a diverse student population is strongly preferred.Physical Requirements Ability to travel to community college campuses and conferences / eventsA valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.Ability to attend / conduct meetings and training within the MSU community.Occasional evening and weekend hours are required for events and programming.Lifting or carrying boxes, pushing carts, and moving items.Working at a desk, at a computer for long periods.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Relationship Building and Collaboration : Establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with community colleges and university departments.Data-Driven Decision Making : Analyze and interpret transfer student performance, trends, and satisfaction data.Regulatory and Policy Knowledge : Understanding state and institutional transfer regulations.Advising Skills : Effective guidance to transfer students.Program Management and Coordination : Strong organizational skills to manage multiple transfer initiatives.Posting Information Posting Number : ST01338Number of Vacancies : 1Job Open Date : 01 / 24 / 2025Job Close Date : 02 / 22 / 2025Special Instructions to Applicant Please enter two professional references on the References page of the application.Supplemental Questions Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (
