DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

A licensed and credentialed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse provides diagnosis, treatment, conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies, professional consultations and provide direct patient care services and follow-up (depending on the state licensure) under the supervision of physicians. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse provides age and specialty appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program.

Certification in nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center or Americal Academy of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.

Current Illinois Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license.

Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) highly recommended.

DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Works effectively with all levels of staffing, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy.

Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.

Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
