- DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Compliance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and organizing compliance functions and activities. The role includes accessing medical records to perform ongoing performance improvement and compliance audits, investigations, and monitoring. They will be a subject matter expert on compliance and privacy topics and maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable healthcare federal and state laws, regulations, and policies. This position will interact with all levels of management, employees, physicians, and patients, as well as external regulators and outside counsel, to conduct compliance/privacy investigations, review complaints and concerns about compliance/privacy, maintain necessary documentation, and take appropriate follow-up action. Assists with the ongoing progression and development, training and education initiatives, and compliance programmatic developments and enhancements.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree preferred
- Previous 5-10 years of medical/clinical experience
- Healthcare Compliance Certification (CHC) is required when eligible to test (at least one year in a full-time compliance management position or 1500 hours of direct compliance management job duties earned in the two years preceding)
- Knowledge of operational and regulatory issues related to healthcare compliance and privacy
- Knowledge of and experience with federal and state patient privacy and other compliance laws
- Strong computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Knowledge of Meditech, Midas, and Meditract

- Exceptional time management and multitasking skills. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated effectiveness in project management development
